We need your action, right now! School Library Breakthrough – Letters must be postmarked no later than September 11, 2017.
California Senator Mendoza has crafted a bill that requires the Model School Library Standards to be explicitly considered as essential learning content within the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The bill has passed the House and Senate and is on the way to the governor’s desk! We have come a long way to make this happen, and we need your voice! GRAB YOUR PEN and write to the Governor now!Model Letter in Support of SB 390
Letters About Literature is a writing contest designed to promote reading and thoughtful writing by encouraging young readers to write a letter to an author-living or dead-explaining how his or her work changed their perspective on the world or themselves.
The 2017-18 Letters About Literature contest for young readers is made possible by a generous grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, with additional support from gifts to the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress.Learn More
